Next steps: BArch Architecture at University of Loughborough
Leilani joined Thames as an external candidate in Year 12 and has now has taken a place to study Architecture at University of Loughborough, her first choice. Training with Bromley Swim Club, Leilani represented Thames at ISA National Swimming Galas, achieving Bronze in individual butterfly and Silver in the medley relay.
William

Next steps: BSc Mathematics at University of Bath
William joined Thames as an external candidate in Year 12. He is now studying Mathematics at University of Bath. William was part of the trip to Tanzania, building goat sheds and water tanks in remote villages.
Alice
A Levels: 3D Design, Art, Spanish (A*A*B)
Next steps: Mexico City gap years; Product Design at Kingston
A talented artist and designer, she received multiple unconditional offers for university (BA Product Design) based on the strength of her portfolio and enabling her to skip a foundation year. She moved to Mexico City for a gap year, developing fluent Spanish while volunteering with a local church, and has chosen to extend her time there into a second year.
Christal
A Levels: English Literature, Economics, History (A*AB)
Next steps: gap year working at a law firm; Law degree / Degree Apprenticeship applications in progress.
Christal secured employment in a law firm for her gap year and will be applying for university next year to study law or secure a degree apprenticeship.
Campbell
A Levels: 3D Design, Maths, Physics (ABB)
Next steps: Degree Apprenticeship – Civil Engineering at WSP Global
Campbell is taking a fully-funded five year degree apprenticeship in Civil Engineering with WSP Global. Alongside his studies, Campbell completed the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Year 12 – one year early – and he plays rugby for Middlesex U18 Rugby Union.
Veniamin
A Levels: Maths, Further Maths, Physics, EPQ (A*AAA)
Next steps: BSc Computer Science at QMUL
Veniamin is taking up a place at Queen Mary University of London to study Computer Science. He achieved A in the Extended Project Qualification choosing as his in-depth research topic whether AI could replace human labour. Veniamin came to Thames in Year 10 as a refugee from Ukraine with very limited English.
Cecilia
A Levels: 3D Design, Maths, Physics (A*AA)

Cecilia is studing Architecture at the University of Bath, her first choice. Cecilia came to Thames in Year 7 but left to go to another school after her GCSEs. Regretting this move, she rejoined Thames at the end of Year 12 to successfully complete her A Levels.
Ziggy
A Levels: Biology, Geography, Spanish (AAB)
Next steps: BA Politics and Spanish at University of Manchester
Ziggy is studying International Politics and Spanish at University of Manchester. At Thames from Year 7, Ziggy left to take his A Levels at another school before returning after six weeks, realising he’d made a huge mistake. Ziggy brought enthusiasm, joie de vivre, maturity, reflectiveness and endless curiosity in the world around him.
Charles

Having joined Thames in Year 9 from a specialist dyslexia school, Charles has taken up a place to study Finance: Business Management at University of Exeter. Charlie’s leadership skills were demonstrated as Head Boy and as a member of the Tanzania team.
Freya
A Levels: 3D Design, Art, English Literature (ABB)
Next steps: BArch Architecture at Nottingham Trent University
Freya is studying Architecture at Nottingham Trent University, where she was offered an unconditional place on the strength of her 3D Design and Art portfolios alone. Freya’s growth as an individual and academically since Year 7 was impressive, achieving B in English from a ‘strong pass’ at GCSE.
Jack

Next steps: MEng Mechanical Engineering at Exeter University
Jack followed his dream of studying Mechanical Engineering with a Motorsports focus at the University of Exeter. Passionate about Formula 1, Jack headed up the development team of Year 10 pupils in the F1 In Schools Competition.
