Campbell attended Thames from Year 7, and his entire time with us was characterised by diligence and challenging himself to improve – skills he brought with him from the rugby pitch, where he was a talented county level player. This paid dividends at A Level where he saw huge academic progress in all three of his subjects, despite having to manage Type 1 Diabetes.

At Sixth Form he wanted to specifically develop his confidence with communication and public speaking. Campbell became a respected Sports Leader, and grew in skill at delivering presentations to a variety of audiences. He completed his entire Gold DofE by the end of Year 12, and showed exceptional perseverance with apprenticeship applications. He held two job offers, as well as a scholarship for a degree at Surrey university, by the Easter of Year 13.
