Next steps: Computer Science at QMUL

Veniamin joined the school in Year 10, a refugee from Ukraine, with no English. He proved to have an exceptional academic ability and worked diligently to achieve excellent GCSE results. By the end of Year 12 he had become fluent in English, his third language, with a Grade 6 GCSE result, which enabled him to apply to top universities like QMUL and UCL for Computer Science.

A respected and gentle young man, with unique mathematical gifting, Veniamin continued to develop his coding skills through work experience and later a remote part-time job for a software company. He also explored the ethics and growth of AI in a successful EPQ essay considering whether robots were a threat to humanity’s existence.
