Thames building nominated for Civic Trust Award

Local MP, Marsha de Cordova, visited Thames recently alongside members from RIBA and Simon Henley from Henley Halebrown, architects of the school building. This visit was the result of our being nominated for a Civic Trust Award. Mr David Adkins, Deputy Head, attended the dinner in Manchester at which awards were presented. Thames received a Highly Commended recognition. Judges commented that the building “demonstrates how thoughtful design can respond to environmental and spatial constraints to successfully create a dual-use development in an urban context.” We definitely think so too!
