On Wednesday Year 9 DT students held a sale of their 3D Chocolate Bars to raise funds for Tanzania. The chocolate bars were the finished pieces of a DT project held this term.
In lessons, pupils have been using their skills to design a chocolate bar pattern, turning this into a 3D mould which they filled with dark chocolate. More fun was then had with useing CAD to design distinct wrapping and imaginative branding for each one.
As part of the sale, the bars were displayed in school on Wednesday surrounded by the pupil’s research in an exhibition format. No surprise, it proved a popular event for pupils and staff eager to sample the produce, while also contributing to a very worthwhile cause!
A helpful total of £61.10p was raised and will either pay for malaria tests or plant 61 trees.
