Thames pupils have been showing off their expertise across the visual arts with two exhibition of their GCSE and A Level exam and portfolio contributions. The celebratory events, held over two floors of the school building, showcased a huge and diverse range of high quality art including 3D Design and Textiles as well as Fine Art. Parents and special guests were treated to drinks and canapés served by our own kitchen as they viewed the various works.
Exhibits and pieces ranged from still life and portrait projects to 3D models of bridges, buildings and lighting designs. In Fashion and Textiles, rows of mannequins displayed highly creative fashion design. Other pieces included soft furnishing and textile designs, each one unique in its creativity and imagination. As always, the standard of work was extremely high with some guests commenting on the commercial promise of some of the 3D Design pieces specifically.
