Over the last few Fridays, as part of their co-curricular club ‘London Explores’, some of our Year 8 pupils have been honing their internet-free travel skills. Building upon on their growing confidence navigating public transport, this Friday Mrs Maddan tasked them with speaking to helpful station staff for advice and using TfL map boards to navigate to Vauxhall City Farm.
This follows a wonderful visit the previous Friday to a photography exhibition in New Malden. The Year 8s worked out the best route to their destination independently, with Mrs Maddan on hand to offer support if needed. She was particularly impressed by how effectively the group tracked the remaining stops before alighting from their train.
The group had so much fun chatting with the artists at the exhibition that they even missed their planned return train!
