Thames pupils made great sporting strides at the Wandsworth Athletics Competition held over two dates in May at Battersea Park. Pupils form Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 competed in a number of athletic events against other local schools.
Our congratulations goes out to everyone who took part. Mrs Bright reported that all our pupils showed incredible sportsmanship, supported each other and gave their best performances.
From Year 9, Lucas came first in the hurdles and joint first in the high jump, Josiah achieved a personal best and came second in the 1500 metres, and Nathan, Year 10, won the 800 metres.
These three boys now go on to take part in the wider London Schools Athletics Meet on Saturday 13 June, and will no doubt be training hard for this over the coming weeks.
RESULTS
On Saturday 13 June Josiah, Year 9, came third in the 1500m with a personal best time of 4:26:99 at the London Schools Track & Field Championships 2026. We are so proud of him and his dedication to the sport.
