Teacher of Business Studies - September 2025

The successful applicant will teach Business Studies in KS4. The ability to teach either or both Business Studies and Economics in KS5 would be an advantage. The position is at least 0.4 FTE with the potential to expand to full time as demand for A level increases. Class sizes are genuinely small with typically 12 pupils in KS4 and tutorial sized groups in KS5.

Thames is a thriving mainstream and diverse independent secondary school rated Excellent by ISI in its April 2022 Inspection. Located next to Clapham Junction station, the school occupies new, purpose built premises.

The role:

  • Teaching Business Studies in KS4 with the possibility of teaching Business and Economics in KS5

  • Working from existing schemes of learning and also creating new, well-differentiated schemes of learning and resources

  • Preparing pupils for Business Studies IGCSE and possibly Business Studies and Economics A level

The post is open to an excellent teacher who will:
