This is an opportunity to join a stable and committed staff team in an established independent school with genuinely small classes.
The successful applicant will deliver A level Economics to a small tutorial sized class of Year 13 pupils with 5 hours/week of timetabled lessons. Exact timings of lessons can be arranged to suit the successful candidate. There is the possibility to expand the position as demand for A level increases.
Thames is a thriving mainstream and diverse independent secondary school. Located next to Clapham Junction station, the school occupies new, purpose built premises.

The role:
Teaching Economics in KS5
Working from existing schemes of learning and also creating new, well-differentiated schemes of learning and resources
Preparing pupils for AQA Economics A level
The post is open to an excellent teacher who will:
Be a graduate with a relevant good honours degree
Have some experience in either the private or maintained system
Have a commitment to embracing challenges and raising pupil attainment
Be a creative, inventive and dedicated classroom practitioner with a real passion for your subject
Have an exceptional eye for detail
