On Friday Ms Ng and Miss Shume took our Year 8 and Year 9 Mandarin pupils to Chinatown in central London for a fun and immersive learning experience. An authentic Chinese lunch and an exciting Chinese character treasure hunt was enjoyed by the group.
Pupils studying Mandarin had the chance to apply what they have been learning in class to real-life situations by ordering their food and carrying out street interviews in Mandarin. The trip was filled with laughter, teamwork, and memorable cultural discoveries!
Mandarin is taught alongside French and Spanish by our modern foreign language team and is a language growing hugely in popularity.
