£1,535.30! That’s the current total raised so far for Go MAD in Tanzania and Providence House following last week’s Sponsored Cross Country Run at Wandsworth Common and our Year 9 Bake Sale run this Tuesday. A huge thank you to all our parents and wider community who have donated so generously, and especially to those who were able to make the most delicious goodies for the special bake sale.
We had so much stock that we ran the sale at break time, lunch time and after school. Year 9 were wonderful taking turns in manning the stall alongside Mrs Mihanou, Year 9 Tutor and Teacher of KS4 Maths. The sale proved a real hit with pupils and staff alike with £320.80 being raised which has been added to the sponsorship total.
A special thanks to Chef Dee who donated GF chocolate orange cookies, Mrs Holsgrove who made snickerdoodles and Mrs Bullock who made chocolate fridge slices for the sale. Delicious!
Last Friday’s Sponsored Cross Country results were announced to cheers in Thursdays assembly. The boys’ Cross Country trophy was jointly won by Isaac, Year 11, and Lucas, Year 10, who both ran 12km. The girls’ trophy was won by Maisie, Year 9, who ran 8.8km. Below is the total distance completed by each school house. Well done to all!
Nightingale 250km
Wilberforce 237km
Bonhoeffer 193km
Barnardo 147km
We are still collecting in donations with final total expected around Monday 2 November.
