We are delighted to announce that Thames Christian School has taken delivery today of a brand new, full-size harp for our growing Music department.
The Salvi orchestral harp will be used by students as part of individual learning, musical performances and academic music at GCSE and A Level. The hire of this top quality instrument has been made possible thanks to the generosity of a Thames parent.
The picture shows a clearly delighted Year 12 student, Zara, who will now be able to pursue her love of the harp more easily. A talented harpist, Zara has been performing at many of our Performing Arts Evenings since she joined Thames in Year 9.
As our Director of Music, Steve Hill, said: “We’re thrilled to have this additional school harp that will really enhance our Music offering and enable students like Zara to progress their musicianship to even higher levels.”
