GCSE geographers field trip to Seaford Bay

Fieldwork at Seaford Bay

Year 10 and 11 geographers enjoyed a great day out to Seaford Bay, East Sussex, on their recent Geography field trip. Led by Miss Dennis-Smith, they investigated longshore drift. The pupils were learning to develop their understanding of coastal landforms and erosion and how to manage them.

The weather was perfect as they completed their tasks on the pebbly beach with glorious blue skies with canoeists and windsurfers gracing the sea in the background. Students worked really well in teams all day to learn and practise new skills, and consolidate their existing knowledge ... as well as making sure to enjoy an ice cream in the sun at lunchtime!
