Cambridge Chemistry Award

It is always good to hear about former pupils’ achievements. James, who left Thames in 2018, recently competed in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge against 9000 A level chemists from around the country. He won a Roentgenium Award - the highest level which is only awarded to the top 0.6% of entrants. He was invited to attend a three day course at St Catherine’s College Cambridge, to have lectures and practical lab sessions, which he enjoyed greatly.  Many congratulations to James!  James’ foundations in the sciences were established at Thames where he achieved grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as in Maths, Geography, Computer Science and Religious Studies, 8 in English Literature and 7 in English Language.
