Thames pupils out and about

Thames pupils take advantage of many interesting and exciting opportunities in and around London to broaden their experience.

  • Year 7 visited the Horniman Museum and took part in a workshop on evolution as part of their Biology curriculum.
  • Artists from Agora Arts visited Year 8 art to lead a project that explored shape and colour. Agora Arts Circle is an organisation that aims to support emerging artists and bring the arts to different audiences.
  • Year 9 greatly enjoyed their trip to Brooklands Museum, the birthplace of British motorsport & aviation, to study forces, speed and flight to enhance their Physics curriculum.  
  • Year 10 Spanish class cooked paella in the kitchen of Caius House, with the session being run entirely in Spanish.
  • Our GCSE Drama pupils visited the Young Vic to see Jesus Hopped on the A Train, a play by Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis.
  • Year 9 and 10 Geography pupils undertook a field-trip on urban regeneration. They explored the local area around Clapham Junction and collected data to answer the question ‘Does Clapham Junction need regeneration?'
