Tanzania fundraising success

Our sell-out fundraising dinner in aid of our Tanzania team’s projects with Go MAD was enjoyed hugely by our parents and their guests and the most successful so far. Attendees bid on an amazing array of auction prizes including tickets to Royal Ascot, an apartment in Tuscany and a night at Belvoir Castle courtesy of the Duchess of Rutland, patron of Go MAD. The evening raised £8,600, considerably more than the target. The proceeds will go towards development aid projects during our pupils’ trip to Tanzania with Go MAD in October. Having worked with the charity for a number of years, we have now raised over £50.000 for girls’ education, provision of clean water, a health clinic and small scale sustainable economic schemes such as building water tanks and goat sheds. The two week trip to Tanzania gives our pupils the unique opportunity to carry out the life changing projects around the town of Musoma. The trip earned the ISA 2015 Award: “Outstanding Contribution for International Understanding” in recognition of its educational value.
