A new school

After three and half years of development work, we have now reached a pivotal point in our quest to see Thames rehoused in a new purpose built building where all pupils have the space, facilities and support to thrive. As part of the York Road/Winstanley regeneration, Wandsworth Council has offered us a unique opportunity to relocate to a spacious new site much closer to Clapham Junction Station during the academic year 2020/2021. The building has been designed, planning permission granted and subject to us finalising legals, construction should start in April.

The new building, a stunningly creative design by architects Henley Halebrown, will include three science laboratories, a well-resourced library, versatile music, drama, art, design, woodwork and textiles studios, computer science and home economics classrooms as well as a combined performance/dining/sports hall and a kitchen enabling us to provide excellent lunches.
