Co-curricular Clubs & Trips

A vibrant array of co-curricular activities in academic, sporting and creative subjects, coupled with our small size enables pupils to have a high degree of participation.

Pupils take part in national competitions such as UKMT Maths Challenge, creative writing competitions, Royal Society Biology, Chemistry and Physics competitions, Spanish Spelling Bee and the Independent Schools Association competitions in English, art, sport and drama.

Clubs typically include: advanced maths, choir, computer programming, debating, dissections, drama, historiography, Italian, life drawing, Mandarin, orchestra ensemble, poetry, watercolour painting, woodwork, Young Geographer of the Year as well as a range of sports club. Performing arts are highly valued with a full length musical staged each year at The Clapham Grand Theatre as well as concerts and drama evenings.

Excellent use is made of the museums, theatres, galleries and other learning environments in and around London. Typical trips include: the Tower of London, Imperial War Museum, Bletchley Park, Tate Britain, the V&A, the Houses of Parliament, The Crystal, Olympic Park, Institut Français, Science Museum, King's College Maths School, Natural History Museum and Faraday Museum. Art, Science and Geography frequently take learning out of the classroom setting into the local neighbourhood and parks.
